DENNIS R. BREWER, O.D.

A native of San Jose, Dr. Brewer received his B.S. in Physiological Optics from the University of California at Berkeley. Dennis then obtained a doctorate degree from the School of Optometry at Berkeley, graduating with the highest honors. He is a Phi Beta Kappa, as well as a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Brewer has served as a clinical Professor at U.C. Berkeley for several years.

His professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association, the San Joaquin Optometric Society and the California Optometric Association. Having worked in research in the area of contact lens investigation, Dr. Brewer specializes in contacts. He is very committed to his profession and attends yearly conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest in the field. He has received certification to use and prescribe medications to treat a variety of eye disorders.

Dr. Brewer has lived in Turlock for over 35 years and has raised his family here. He is actively involved in the Turlock community having served on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, Stanislaus Statesman, and the Arrowhead Club. He coached youth soccer for many years and is an active member of the Turlock Rotary Club. He is an avid golfer and enjoys tennis, kayaking and travel.

TREVOR K. IRISH, O.D.

Dr. Irish was raised in Concord, CA and graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in Biopsychology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Southern California College of Optometry and is a lifetime member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society.

He completed a residency in Cornea and contact Lenses at Northeastern State University, Oklahoma College of Optometry where he was trained extensively in the treatment of ocular disease, surgical management, glaucoma, and the fitting and management of specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Irish is the co-founder of the SKY vision charity program at So.Cal College of Optometry providing children in need with durable, impact-resistant glasses.

He is currently a clinical professor with UC Berkeley supervising optometric residents and interns at Castle Family Health Center in Atwater, CA. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, CA Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry.

Some of Dr. Irish's interests include travel, outdoor activities and spending time with his family here in the Central Valley.

MELANIE M. CHIESA, O.D.

A life long resident of our neighboring town of Hughson, she pursued her undergraduate education at CSU Fresno, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Functional Biology and Food Science. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and is a lifetime member of Phi Beta Kappa and Beta Sigma Kappa.

Dr. Chiesa then continued her graduate studies at the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry. There she received an additional B.S. degree in Visual Science and later her doctorate degree in Optometry. While at Berkeley she received the prestigious Gold Retinoscope Award, which goes to the most outstanding graduate. She was also selected for the B&L "Excellence in Academic Achievement Contact Lens Award".

During her studies, Dr. Chiesa received extensive training in therapeutic managemant, pediatric vision, low vision, binocular vision, and contact lenses. She participated, in a clinical rotation in North Carolina where she received in-depth training in treatment of ocular diseases and primary care optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the California Optometric Association.
